A nothing like watching your team blow a 17 point lead on national television due to unnecessary conservative play calling in the second half.
Worse is knowing your team has a worse record than Cleveland after week 1.
Welp, back to work.

You didn’t watch the Buffalo Bills lose by 40+ points though....so there’s that.

Not to try and one up you, but my alma mater got embarrassed on saturday, the Steelers tied the B rowns on sunday, and to top it all off, I discovered my basement is flooding. What a great weekend.

beat me to it by one minute! So I actually drove to Maryland this weekend, 9 hours one way, spent 20 hours wrenching on a Ford Festiva doing an EFI swap so my buddy could drive it 9 hours home. Then drove 9 hours both ways in the rain, got home just in time for my 5 am alarm to go off to get up for work. Pretty sure my weekend was still better than if I had watched the game.

I got to drive his sweet modified Mazda 2, he paid for fuel, and meals. I actually enjoy working on other people’s stuff more than my own, if that makes any sense.

Y’know, maybe a team of second/third-stringers losing by 1 TD to a championship-caliber team isn’t the end of the world.

Bears scored three points in the second half. You can say all you want about Aaron Rod gers, but Aaron Rod gers doesn’t play on the defense.

I don't know of any Bears fans that doesn't have a fond appreciation of Packers QB past and present.

I do hope that Rodgers has nothing more than a deep bruise on his leg. I would wish any tears and/or structural damage on him or any player.

I love both of those so much! I'm trying to find another festiva right now actually, need a cheap beater and I always wanted to swap one.

I’ve never had a swapped festiva, just an aspire (gen2). They are a ton of fun though. I’d suggest keeping a lookout on craigslist and facebook festiva group. They come up from time to time, and sometimes in large quantities. People who like them tend to hoard them.

Just to clarify, was your aspire swapped? How was it either way? I’ve been thinking about one of those too since I’m a big dude and they’re slightly more common, dunno if the engine bay is any roomier though. I’m keeping an eye out though, mine had a Hurst t handle when I got it, it was a riot. I actually got rid of it for a mazda2 also lol.

My 95 aspire had a F series trans from an 88 tracer with a B8 16 valve single cam from a protege dx. It was a riot to drive. I also had a 94 aspire with a BP swapped and a few B3 stock ones. I even had a V6 one for a couple months with a KLDE from a 626. That one was stupid, tons of wheel hop.

I bet the mx3 v6 would be a blast in a festy, I think that would be my choice.

That swap is a lot of work, and since they are the same size, you are better off with the 2.5L KLDE/KLZE from the 626/Probe. Much more power, lighter, and same physical size.

I know but the revs! And it still seems like plenty of power to me lol, but I know you're right.

KLDE/KLZE rev just as high I believe? If you want revs you should go rotary!
Khalbali

Hmmm maybe rear rotary engined fwd? I saw one with a SBC in the rear driving the front wheels once.
nerd_racing

That thing was useless other than a burnout machine though. Tons of space for a fwd front engine rotary. If you did all the work to put it in the back, might as well make it rear engine rwd.

I guess, I've never heard of a transverse rotary/transaxle set up though.

Not common at all. I’ve only seen a few swaps.
